Explore the fabulous mountains and unspoilt natural scenery in the Bregenzerwald.
Numerous footpaths and hiking trails, cycling and mountain-bike tracks all start right outside the hotel. In summer, guests staying for 3 nights or more are entitled to the free guest card for the Bregenzerwald & Grosswalsertal area. This entitles guests to unlimited free use of the cable cars and public buses, as well as offering a great time relaxing and cooling off in the local open-air swimming pools.
Walking
Discover the best walking tours in and around Schoppernau. The Au-Schoppernau tourist office offers guided walks suited to all abilities, and these are free of charge to guest card holders.
Mountain biking & cycling
Anyone who enjoys mountain-biking, e-biking or cycling can choose from a number of attractive routes. The trails take you through especially lovely countryside which is also of cultural interest. Located close to the hotel, the newly established Au-Schoppernau MTB trail centre located offers training in the more adventurous techniques of biking.
Tennis
The new floodlit tennis courts adjoining the Schoppernau Waldbad (forest pool) are guaranteed to set your heart racing! Use of these courts is free of charge for guests of the Schrannenhof and Hotel Elisabeth. Outdoor activities & fun
For fearless adventurers we recommend the nearby climbing walls and via ferrata, tandem paragliding, rafting or canyoning. Expertise and professional support is available from the outdoor sports specialists.
Riding on the farm
Access to the farm facilities and use of the playground are also included for guests of Hotel Elisabeth.
Waldbad Schoppernau (Forest pool)
Bathing fun for the whole family. On warm summer days, the Schoppernau forest pool in the Bregenzerwald is the ideal place for the whole family to enjoy some time relaxing. There are three separate swimming pools: a toddlers’ paddling pool, a children’s pool with a small slide and a heated swimming pool. Refreshments are available from the kiosk and from the Gräsalparstubo café and restaurant. For fun and games out of the water, there is a beach volleyball court and a ping-pong table. Also, an exciting forest playground is located right next to the Waldbad.
