Armenseelenkapelle (Poor Souls’ Chapel)
Walk along the Bregenzerache river past the swimming pool to Armengemach; follow the woodland track as far as the tunnel, then turn right up the hill to the Armenseelen Chapel.
Walking time: approx. ¾ hour
Refreshment opportunity: Gräsalperstubo by the swimming pool
From the Kalbele lake to the Körber lake
Take the bus or car up to the Hochtannberg pass. From Körberkreuz a well-marked high-level path leads through beautiful countryside directly to the Körber lake. Since boats are available on the Körber lake, this walk is especially popular with children.
Walking time: approx. ¾ hour

Vorsäß Schalzbach mountain settlement
Take the riverside path up the valley from Schoppernau until approx. 400 m after the hydro-electric plant. Follow the asphalt road up the hill to the Vorsäß Schalzbach. A wonderful view opens out from the chapel at the top of the hill. Return by the same route.
Walking time: approx. 1 ½ hours
Over the Halde – Holdamoos Nature Discovery Centre to the “Holand”
Start from the bottom station of the Diedamskopf cable car and follow the asphalt road up to the Halde – at the first fork head to the right as far as the barn, then follow the footpath towards Holdamoos – Holand. Descend on the road towards Kirche Rehmen – Lebernau – Gasthof Schiff, then over the bridge and past the camp site via Gräsalp back to Schoppernau.
Walking time: approx. 1 ½ hours

Vorsäß Boden – Bergkristall hut
Take the Gräsalp road to the Buchwald and cross the Dürrenbach footbridge. Turn left onto the woodland footpath until you reach the track leading to Steig and the Vorsäß Boden mountain settlement. The path climbs fairly steeply in the woods before reaching Vorsäß Boden (St. Michael’s chapel).
Or: from Au/Neudorf (camp site – Holländerheim – blue shutters) along the old road towards the Vorsäß Boden mountain settlement. Return via the same route.
Walking time: approx. 1 ½ hours

Hopfreben
Starting from the sawmill down from Schoppernau church, take the cattle trail to the hamlet of Gschwend. Continue along the farm track and then follow the main road as far as the tunnel. Pass this on the left side, rejoining the main road over the old bridge, and continue until you reach the bridge next to the hydro-electric plant. Turn left here along the riverside footpath to Vorderhopfreben, continuing along the path as far as the fork. Take the right fork towards Villa until your pass the Villa Maund, and continue to Hopfreben. Return via the same route or by bus.
Walking time: approx. 1 ¼ hours
The Villa Maund (worth a visit) was once a hunting lodge belonging to an English earl (approx. 1895) who, from time to time, hosted such illustrious personages as Crown Prince Wilhelm von Hohenzollern and other distinguished guests.
Riverside walk to Schnepfau and Mellau
Take the Gräsalp road over the bridge, and continue along the riverside path to the Dürrenbach footbridge and the camp site. Follow the cycle/footpath to Mellau.
Walking time: to Schnepfau approx. 1 ½ hours and to Mellau approx. 2 ½ hours. The return trip is also possible by bus.
From Schröcken across the Auenfelder to Lech
Starting out from Schröcken church along the old road, continue for approx. 15 minutes to the Körber lake fork. From here follow the access track to the Batzenalpe – Auenfeldalpe – Auenfeld saddle – Gaisbühelalpe – Grubenalpe – Schlössle – Oberlech – Lech. The return trip is also possible by bus.
Walking time: approx. 2 ½ hours
Berngat – Wika – Holand circuit
Starting from Rehmen church, pass the Adeg supermarket on the access road to the Berngat chapel (Black Madonna). Continue towards Stoggen and Wika, then descend via the Wika-Tobel to Holand and on to Rehmen, or over the hill back to Schoppenau.
